ANTI-RAGGING CELL

  • In any form, at any time, or anywhere, ragging is a crime that carries serious penalties, such as instant expulsion from the college, institution, or university. Bill No. 8 of 1997, the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Ragging Act, is an excerpt from the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette's Extra-Ordinary dated January 29, 1997.
  • The Anti-Ragging committee was established, and committee members' phone numbers are posted on all notice boards so that students can call them with complaints and have them addressed.
  • The college website and prominent campus areas both feature anti-ragging slogans. Students can get in touch with the members of the anti-ragging committee at any time, day or night. They display the anti-ragging members.
  • No such instances are reported in the last four years. Our college is a Ragging-free campus

In order to prevent freshmen from being ragged, the committee organizes an Anti-Ragging squad at the start of each academic year. The squad members are tasked with a variety of tasks in the college campus's crowded areas, and the committee pays surprise visits to hostels and other vulnerable locations that are prone to ragging. In addition to preventing ragging on campus, this organization arranges special guest talks on the right to information act to raise student awareness.
