The department of Biomedical Engineering organized a one day National level Conference BIOCONCLAVE '14, held on 21st March 2014 . Resource person Mr.Subramonium Aiyappan M.Sc, PGDHR & HV, Mtech (MBA), Senior Research Fellow, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, delivered a special talk about 'DEMENTIA' (memory loss). Through his speech, he stimulated the neurons of our mind. The students from various colleges had proposed their ideas as papers.

One day National level Seminar organized by the department of Biomedical Engineering held on 28.01.2013.The chief guest Dr.M.Anburajan, PhD, FIMSA, SRM University, Prof/Head of the Department, delivered a talk on the topic "PARADIGM FOR RADIATION HAZARDS" and he mentioned the duties of Biomedical engineer in hospitals such as servicing, maintenance and calibration, safety and preventive measures of the medical equipment.
